Ongoing experiments in making alternative, experimental microphones. The idea is to translate sensory modalities such as light, or unperceivable phenomena, such as electromagnetism, directly in to sound. So far I have made a electromagnetic microphone and a light microphone, both in stereo. The circuit of the electromagnetic microphone is based on the Elektrosluch by Jonáš Gruska.

The left video shows the sound of a spinning magnet in front of the electromagnetic microphone. The video on the right shows the flickering light of a burning match translated into sound by the light microhone.
